Cub
Scouts
Scouting
is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills and have fun. The
advancements in scouting emphasize good citizenship, family values and
respect for religion. Scouting also promotes good physical health as
well as teaching life skills, like proper tool use, basic repairs and
general safety lessons.
- First
graders join a Tiger Cub den for monthly outings with their parents.
- Second
graders join a Wolf den and third graders join a Bear den. These dens
meet 2-3 times a month. These boys go on trips, do projects and earn
achievements.
- Fourth
and Fifth graders join a Webelos den, doing more independent and
outdoor-oriented activities.
The entire pack meets once a month for group
activities and to recognize the scout's accomplishments.

Scouting
is a cooperative family activity. Scouts require support from home to
succeed in the program. When a scout joins the Pack, his family joins
also. The boys need someone at home to help them along their
advancement trail. This generally involves reviewing your son's scout
book and assisting with activities he needs to complete his scout trail
and advancements. The Pack needs your support as well. This is an all
volunteer program and is only as good as the effort that we, the
parents, put into it. There are lots of little jobs that need to be
done in order to ensure a good program for the boys. Not only will your
boys have fun, you will too, with friends old and new.
